What is Microsoft Azure Cloud || LN-TECHINFO

Azure was announced in October 2008 and released as Windows azure on 1 February 2010 but was renamed to Microsoft Azure in 2014. Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform created by Microsoft to build, deploy and manage applications and services using Microsoft-managed global network or data centers. So we can say that this is Microsoft's public cloud computing platform that provides a lot of cloud services. In this, users can develop a new application by choosing any specific services from the many available services or they can run the existing applications on the public cloud.

It provides Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services, as well as supports many programming languages, tools and frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems.

Azure as PaaS (Platform as a Service) –

As the name suggests, it provides a platform for clients to develop and deploy software. In Paas, clients have to focus on application development and not on hardware and infrastructure. Paas takes care most of the servers, operating systems and networking issues.

Azure as IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) –

It is a managed compute service that gives the application developers complete control of the operating systems and the application platform. IaaS gives the user the rights to access, manage and monitor the data centers so that the users can manage their own cloud.
